Best Bluetooth Thermal Printer Billing App for Small Shops in India (58mm & 80mm)

Why Small Shops in India Need Bluetooth Thermal Printers

Traditional billing setups for retail stores in India used to mean bulky desktop computers, expensive laser printers, and costly ink cartridges. For a roadside snack shop, tea stall, kirana store, or boutique, investing ₹25,000+ in a desktop POS system is simply impractical.

In 2026, thousands of smart Indian vendors are running high-speed billing directly from their mobile phones connected to portable Bluetooth thermal POS printers. These printers use heat instead of ink, eliminating recurring ribbon or toner costs forever.

Choosing Between 58mm (2-Inch) and 80mm (3-Inch) Printers

When selecting a Bluetooth thermal printer, shopkeepers usually choose between two standard paper roll widths:

• 58mm (2-inch width): The most popular and affordable choice. Printers cost between ₹1,200 and ₹1,800 on Amazon or local electronics markets. Ideal for fast itemized receipts, sweet shop tokens, and juice bars.
• 80mm (3-inch width): Offers extra horizontal room for larger item descriptions, multi-column tax breakdowns, and wider shop logos. Commonly used by busy retail stores and mini-supermarkets.

How Mobile Web Apps Connect to Bluetooth Printers via Thermer App

Most billing websites run smoothly inside mobile browsers (like Google Chrome), but web browsers alone cannot directly control low-level hardware like Bluetooth thermal printers without specialized bridges. That is where Thermer App comes in.

Thermer App acts as a high-speed ESC/POS bridge between your web browser and your paired Bluetooth printer, enabling one-tap instant receipt printing in under 2 seconds.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide:

1. Turn on your Bluetooth thermal printer and enable Bluetooth on your Android or iPhone.
2. Pair the printer in your phone's Bluetooth settings (PIN is typically 0000 or 1234).
3. Install the companion Thermer App on your device and select your paired printer.
4. Open Stellar Forge Billing in your phone browser, add items, and hit "Print". Your customized receipt with your shop name, contact number, and dynamic UPI QR code prints immediately!
